Yesterday, all the Juniors attending Skyview High School had to go to the auditorium during 2nd Period to listen to a speaker talk about colleges such as, ISU, BSU, CSI and a few others. I checked out the sessions for ISU and the Airforce, because the Airforce runs in my family and I’ve heard good things about it. I am probably going to join in a couple years and wanted to get some information about it and wanted to find out why it’s better than other branches. My Uncle and grandfather told me their stories. I’ve heard that they treat you much better than the Army and Marines. So quality of life is better and it is much more enjoyable, and you’re gonna get a good education. My Uncle told me that the Navy is full of psychopaths, where all you do is stay on ship, and you don’t really have any space to yourself. Sounded boring to me. He also said a few things about the marines and army like they treat you like complete shit and to them, your just another number. It’s for people who want to prove their better than everybody else, and most of which are also messed up in the head. Then my Uncle told me about one of his experiences. He had decided to actually join the Army. He got all his paper work filled out and just needed to one more signature. the recruiter asked him to come back later, after lunch and he could finish hilling out the paper work. He said he like ll 99’s on his ASVADs or whatever their called and was absolutely ready for the Army. So he went back to the recruiter and the guy told him he was to good for it. That he should go to school and come back in a couple years, tearing his paper work and throwing it away. That’s when he did just that and decided to go USAF, as his dad had done. So I’m at a fork in the road here and am deciding whether to go Airforce or not, but I’m finding it hard to decide which way to go.
Good movies.
•February 22, 2008 • 2 CommentsEveryone likes to see a good movie every once in while. On the weekends with freinds, for a birthday, or just because you want to. It’s interesting how every movie has an interesting plot, even if it doesn’t look like it at first. Such as Mist. I figured it would suck ’cause I’m not into Stephen King, but it was pretty awesome. And what was one of the best parts was it had a psychopathic religious moron chick in it. The way climax was built was amazing. But then again, the bible stuff does get annoying. There are too many movies with that crap. It was great though. Awesome.
Jumper definitely was not the best, but a descent film as far as visual effects go. I loved it. It had the two Star Wars guys in it though. Who’d a thunk it. Great acting and an overall sense of intrigue were this films strengths. It’s pathetic how there are so many movies based on superpowered individuals. Sure, everybody wishes they had a power, but the number of movies that attract millions like that is ridiculous.
The only good movies are the bloody, violent, action and horror films. Sci-fi needs to find a new meaning.
Three Days Grace
•February 22, 2008 • Leave a CommentOne band I’ve had my sights on for a while is Three Days Grace. They’ve only been at it for a couple years and already they making hit titles. They have awesome music, not just lyric-wise. I’ve listened to a couple of their CDs and I love ‘em. A few of the good ones incude “pain”, “just like you”, “OneX”, “scared”, “over and over’ and several more. Right now they rank in my top 10.
Celebrities
•February 22, 2008 • 1 CommentEvery once in a while, I wonder what it would be like to be a celebrity. Money, fame, luxury, pretty much everything you ever want. They have everything. But! What about their love lives. They don’t have ‘em. One month their dating Mr. Perfect. Next week, BAM, gone. That’s why I would hate to be a celebrity. It’s no wonder so many of them commit suicide. The most important attribute in their lives is pride and infamy. See what I’m gettin at?
